When a young family of four moved into a brand new duplex in Baulkham hills, they needed a whole home outfitted with all the trappings you need to build a life.
Steph is a devoted mother who loves to cook for her family and makes a killer olive bread loaf that is woven into her family’s traditions. She wanted to create a kitchen space that would allow her to carry on her family’s enthusiasm for food while still maintaining the functional side you need when you have kids. To create a perfect balance of design and function, we installed 60 mm thick stone benchtops and splashbacks from Atec Stone in Statuario Supreme.
They are designed to be durable enough to withstand anything life can throw at them. The Polyurethane Shaker style doors provide plenty of storage and every inch of the kitchen is put to maximum use. A corner LeMans system pulls out for easy usage, along with an oil and spice rack that pulls out as well. A pop-up powerpoint and USB charger point complete the functionality of the kitchen. The 3-meter ceilings with 2.7-meter high kitchen ceilings give the room a spacious feel and the gunmetal sink, tap, handles, and pendant lights from Beacon Lighting make perfect accents to tie the whole kitchen together.
The final result is a room that prioritises food and family above all else while fitting seamlessly into the design of the home as a whole.
