This project holds a place close to our heart. An established family in a barn style setting was undertaking a home renovation of a lifetime. That home was our family home in Kenthurst.
Hoping for a major revamp of her kitchen, our mother didn’t want to cut any corners when it came to colour, functionality, and a positively massive kitchen island. Naturally, we were excited to do the job. Our lead designer Jessica wanted to design build the kitchen of her mother’s dreams. So she got right to work.
We wanted to make this kitchen into a showstopper, so we started with brass sink, taps, and hardware to create a common thread throughout the room. We gutted the existing set up giving us total freedom to establish a new galley style kitchen. Of all the elements that were going to be the main feature, we knew we couldn’t go past an oversized island as the centrepiece. The 4-meter island provides all of the workspace we could possibly need, and then some. Internal pantry drawers and a pocket door system makes every inch of the space functional, while the coffee and entertaining section cater to her love of welcoming people into her home.
Our favourite tech savvy feature is a pop-up powerpoint and USB charger so that mum never has to worry about keeping her devices charged as she searches for new recipes. Her love of colour is also celebrated through the bold kitchen island and the polyurethane beaded kitchen island doors. The main kitchen area groove polyurethane doors ensure that the kitchen will look beautiful for years to come. A few other unique features include recessed brass handles, decorative window display wall cabinets, and a decorative range hood centrepiece.
The finished kitchen suits our mum to the very last detail. We’re so proud to have created the kitchen of her dreams and the heart of the family home.
